Wakefield Trinity Ladies’ coaches Liam Harnell and Ash Bond have named their squad for Sunday’s first pre-season friendly against Hull KR (1pm KO).

The squad boasts multiple new faces, with new signings including Cassy and Leonie Lawson, Nat Romano, and Jade Key all in line to make their first appearance.

Rachel Eastwood, Millen Downs, and Phoebe Evans are all set to feature, along with Megan Preston and Amy Bennett.

Georgia Pitman-Smith also makes the squad with Gayatri Gambhir and Emilia Povall-Clarke included in the squad.

Coach, Ash Bond, said: “The ladies, are raring to go and get their first run out this year.

“I and Liam are excited to see them play together and with our new players’ first game in a Trinity shirt it will be really good too, hopefully, see them perform on the field the way they have been training.

“It also gives us the opportunity to try a number of combinations and rotate players in a couple of positions.”
