Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is proud to be working with Pinderfields Hospital to collect selection boxes to donate to Wakefield Street Kitchen for those in need over the festive period.

With a solid base and foundation to work with, we are delighted to have Pinderfields Hospital on board to help us spread Christmas cheer this winter as we look to use the lace the wards, of both young and old, with treats over December.

Following last year’s success with St Catherine’s Street, which raised a vital amount of tinned and dried food for those over Christmas 2021, we will now be looking to continue this support with the partners who have served us so well over the last couple of months.

After a successful project in Trinity Under the Stars, we are now looking to support the partners who assisted us so well throughout the whole process. As a key component in making the whole project work, where Wakefield Street Kitchen sourced and cooked all of the food on the night, we will now be looking to aid them in a way that will keep the district supported throughout the Christmas period.

Speaking on how we look to provide to those in need over Christmas, Head of Foundation, Mark Brennan, said, “We are really pleased to be working with such great partners to deliver selection boxes and treats to those in need over December.

“After the great work we have done with both organisations over the last couple of months, it is great to be able to give back, which epitomises what we are doing as a charity.

The Foundation will be open to dried/tinned foods, selection boxes and biscuits to donate to both Wakefield Street Kitchen and Pinderfields Hospital, which will be available to donate at both the Be Well Support Stadium reception and the Ridings Club Shop from Monday, 28th November 2022, with members of the Wakefield Trinity first-team squad dropping off all collections towards the end of next month.
