Trinity are delighted to announce highly rated 17-year-old back-rower Dane Windrow has penned a three and a half year full-time deal with the club.
Windrow is a product of the Trinity scholarship where he was picked up playing for Brighouse Rangers ARLFC.
Windrow already stands at 6 foot 2 and weighs 105kgs, which is what first caught Head Coach Chris Chester’s eye.
Chester said: “Dane is physical specimen that already wouldn’t look out of place in Super League. I’ve watched him closely over the last 12 months both playing in the academy and reserves last year where he put together some fine displays playing against men. He has kicked on again this year and we are looking forward to seeing him kick-on again when he moves into a full time environment, learning from players such as Matty Ashurst and Jay Pitts”.
