Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce that Jonathan Schofield has been appointed as permanent General Manager of the Club.
Jonathan has been at Trinity since 2014, starting in the Retail operation. He successfully built this side of the business up and has more then doubled turnover in his time in the Retail Store.
Chief Executive Michael Carter said: “Jonathan has been working as interim General Manager since the middle of the year and has done a fantastic job. He has taken a load of day to day work off my shoulders and has really grasped the opportunity with both hands. He now oversees all aspects of our operation, having had aspirations to progress a career in Rugby League for a long time. The Board had no hesitation in offering him this permanent role given how well he has done this last 6 months. I’ve no doubt he will now push on and prove himself to be a very fine administrator.”
Jonathan said: “I’d like to thank Michael and the Board for giving me this opportunity. I’ve been at the Club for a number of years and over that time I’ve seen the Club go from strength to strength. I am excited to play my part and to see our Club continue to progress both on and off the field.”
