Trinity Ladies sign Templeton

Wakefield Trinity Ladies are delighted to announce that England Lions player, Emma Templeton, has joined the club.

Templeton, a strong-running outside back, will link up with the Ladies on their return to action and add some solid competition to the backline.

The former Keighley Albion player first started her Rugby League journey aged 14, and despite having a lengthy absence from the game, Templeton is itching to get back into the thick of things, once given the green light to do so.

After signing for the club, Templeton spoke exclusively to localhost to share her thoughts on signing for Wakefield.

“It’s a move I am really excited about,” admitted Templeton.

“I like to see myself as a strong centre and I hope I can add something to this Wakefield side.

“I first started playing the sport when I was 14, but then had a break for around ten years through no fault of mine. The team I was playing in just went their separate ways and it ended up being ten years until I got back into it again.

“I certainly have more drive now and I’ve got that buzz back to play again. I can’t wait to get back into it and play for Wakefield in the Super League, which has always been an ambition of mine.”

Everyone at Wakefield Trinity Ladies is looking forward to working with Emma in the future!
