Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce that we have been generously joint-gifted a donation of £354.88 following a charity beard shave at Friday’s We Are Wakefield event.
Over the past year, our partnerships with both MY Hospitals Charity & The Yorkshire Broker have gone from strength to strength, with this charitable fundraising initiative being undertaken by Trinity supporter and Commercial Director Phil Hodgson, taking the plunge to remove his famous beard.
With all three organisations part of We Are Wakefield, it seemed the perfect setting to complete the challenge as Phil Braved the shaved for the first time in years.
With MY Hospitals Charity continuing their MRI Appeal and the Foundation’s work in the community still going strong, the £709.77 split evenly between the two charities will make a world of difference to members of the Wakefield Community.
Speaking on the brave fundraiser, Foundation Media & Commercial Executive, William Moore, said, “I know that when I say how much we appreciate the gesture, I am speaking on everyone associated with the Foundation.
“To brave the shave and support the causes like he has is incredible and we cannot thank Phil enough for his continued support. It really is good to see.”
Furthermore, this wouldn’t have been possible without Phil Hodgson, who, alongside his business partner Martin, have supported the Foundation throughout the year, sponsoring a 2023 Ladies’ game and our Walk with Wakey fundraiser in April.
