Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce that SCS Building Services have agreed to a three-year sponsorship deal with our Youth department.
Head of Youth, Mark Applegarth was delighted with the support shown saying, “It’s great to have SCS on board and showing confidence in what we are trying to achieve here at Wakefield Trinity.
“Roger (Rodger Lambert, Chief Executive, SCS) is a big advocate of youth development in rugby league and also shares our vision of creating stronger links in the community as well as more pathways for local amateurs to progress through to the professional ranks. It’s also important as a club we look at keeping youngsters engaged in the game and with their clubs if they don’t quite make it as professional players”.
SCS will provide funding over the next three years to help with equipment for the youth academies and the deal will also help in providing funding for even more coaching to local amateur sides which will help with talent development and retention.
Chairman Michael Carter is happy another prominent local business is showing confidence in Wakefield Trinity, “I’m delighted that Rodger has come on board. He has seen the work we do here, and wanted to help us achieve even greater things.
“It’s another prime example of a local business giving something back to the local community, and helping to keep more kids engaged in physical activity. I want to thank him publicly for his help, and would encourage other businesses out there that want to get involved to come forward and contact myself.”
