Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce that Coffee company & brokerage firm Recent Beans & The Yorkshire Brokers has partnered with our annual fundraiser, Walk with Wakey.
Setting off on Thursday, over 30 participants will set off from Starbucks Doncaster Road, heading to Castelford’s Mend-A-Hose Jungle ahead of Wakefield Trinity’s Rivals Round Clash with the Tigers.
Following a year off, the Foundation was excited to bring back the annual fundraiser, with proceeds now topping over £2000. All funds donated will be split between the Foundation & our ongoing work in the community as well as MY Hospitals Charity & the work that they do with the Children’s Ward at Pinderfields Hospital.
Having just opened a store in Westgate, Recent Beans & Gaz Poole was excited about the prospect of helping the community. Recent Beans believe coffee is a fresh product and should be treated like one. Coffee beans taste good for two months after roasting but in the first two weeks, great coffee tastes magical. Some coffee beans can spend months or years on a shelf before being consumed.
Their coffee is roasted the morning after they receive your order and is posted that afternoon, that’s what sets them apart. Freshly roasted just tastes better. Give them a go, and change your coffee game.
The Foundation has also been supported by an up-and-coming brokerage firm, the Yorkshire Broker. Upon speaking to Phil Hodgson, Commercial Director, it was apparent of their involvement with the club already. Hailing from the City, Phil has lasting ties with the community & injected that spirit into the new company.
The Yorkshire Broker was formed, not only to help their customers secure business and give peace of mind but also to offer you a community. They are bringing together people who might be like you, but just a little bit different; people who can help you out when you need them, give you a bit of advice when you think you’re the only one in your situation and someone who might just be buying what you’re selling.
They are an Insurance Broker, but also community builders, community investors and community lovers. As a team, they have over 40 years of experience in commercial insurance and have expertise in several sectors. With that, we can offer you expert advice when it comes to your insurance.
Speaking on the support of local businesses, the Foundation’s Media & Commercial Executive, William Moore, said, “We are delighted to have Recent Beans & the Yorkshire Broker involved in our Walk with Wakey fundraiser.
“As a local charity, all of our funds get injected back into the community through a range of programmes & projects, and it is great to have businesses like this supporting us on our journey. I cannot thank Phil (The Yorkshire Broker) & Gaz (Recent Beans) for their ongoing support.”
