Wakefield Trinity is thrilled to announce the signing of much-coveted half-back Myles Lawford from the Bradford Bulls on a 3-year deal.
The 20-year-old came through the Bulls Scholarship and Academy set-up and quickly achieved Yorkshire and England Academy honours. In July of this year, It was reported that no fewer than 7 Super League clubs were circling for this rising talent.
Trinity has paid a substantial fee to acquire the services of this outstanding young playmaker. So far, in these early days of his blossoming first-grade career, he has made 14 appearances scoring 8 tries and kicked 12 goals.
Head Coach, Daryl Powell said: ‘This is a quality signing for our future. Myles is a young Half-Back with class written all over him. He will have a couple of outstanding mentors in Luke and Mason as he steps into full time training for the first time. I’ve no doubt he will challenge those two for a place in the starting team next season. I look forward to helping him grow into the player we all know he will become.’
