Wakefield Trinity have named their 21-Man Squad ahead of Magic WKND!
The show piece event of the Super League summer heads to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time with over 80,000 fans expected to descend on the Liverpool Docks for six games of spectacular Rugby League over one incredible weekend.
The Trin will kick off Sunday’s action as we see a return of the Wildcats for one game only with our special 2008 throwback!
The old rivals, Castleford Tigers will be the opponents on Sunday 5th July (KO: 12:30pm) with the lads from WF10 looking for retribution following the 34-0 drubbing at the OneBore Stadium earlier in the year.
Oliver Pratt and Jake Trueman both grabbed doubles on that day as Trinity claimed back the Adam Watene Trophy.
Daryl Powell has made three changes to his 21-Man Squad with the return of three First Team regulars.
Fans will be pleased to see Lachlan Walmsley back in contention for the first time since Round Two following a knee operation. The flying winger came through a return in the Reserves side and now comes straight back into Powell’s side.
Matty Storton returns following a groin injury while Jayden Myers has shaken off a shoulder problem to come back into the 21-Man Squad.
Charlie Abraham, Kian McGann and Jordan Williams are the players to make way.
