Alongside our four Inclusion teams, run by the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, we deliver numerous inclusive projects across the Wakefield District, providing physical activity to young people with disabilities in partner SEND schools, colleges and community settings.
To celebrate the inclusivity of Wakefield Trinity and Rugby League, we’re pleased to confirm details of the activity taking place this weekend as part of Inclusion Round 2026.
Wakefield Trinity Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) will take on Team Colostomy UK in a 40-minute exhibition fixture (2.45pm kick-off) as the curtain raiser before the Men’s Betfred Super League fixture.

Our PDRL side are one of the most successful in the country, having won the Grand Final and League Leaders’ Shield double in 2024. The modified version of rugby league provides playing opportunities for players with physical impairments to compete in a competitive league structure.
Wakefield Trinity Learning Disability Rugby League (LDRL) will then take to the field as flagbearers as part of the pre-match on-field build-up to the Men’s First-Team clash with Hull KR before returning to the pitch for a Half-Time Festival.
Our LDRL team are proud members of the Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League, a specially adapted non-competitive and inclusive version of the sport, which is designed for players who have a learning disability or who are autistic.
Alongside the action on the field, in the Fan Zone, we will be hosting the Goodysphere Sensory Bus. The rainforest-themed sensory bus will provide a quiet and regulated space for anyone who may need a break from the gameday noise during the build-up to kick-off, during the match or when leaving the Stadium.
The Bus, which opens from 1.30pm, is completely free to use and contains interactive sensory equipment, such as fibre optics, bubble tubes and sensory trays.
Turnstiles at the DIY Kitchens Stadium open at 2.30pm this Saturday.
