Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to be working with Helping the Homeless Wakefield for our Trinity Under the Stars fundraiser this November.
With just under a month to go until the event, we are pleased that the charitable organisation will be coming back on board for what will be its second consecutive year.
Following a large amount of success in 2022, Trinity Under the Stars raised an incredible £3,500 for both the Foundation’s continued work in the community and Helping the Homeless Wakefield as they look to get people off the city’s streets.
As a charity, Helping the Homeless Wakefield strives to make a big difference throughout the community, pledging their time to help those in need.
As the Winter, once again, draws closer, Helping the Homeless Wakefield is continuing to work with members of the public and work to their main three principles: Stopping Rough Sleeping on the Streets of Wakefield, providing temporary accommodation for the homeless & helping the homeless and needy get back on their feet.
Speaking on their involvement, Foundation Media & Commercial Executive, William Moore, said, “I am beyond pleased that Helping the Homeless Wakefield has decided to partner with us again on Trinity Under the Stars.
“After seeing the difference the fundraiser made in 2022, it was important that the charity came on board again for 2023. They do some fantastic work and we want to ensure this does not go unnoticed.”
Terry Smith, Founder of Helping the Homeless Wakefield, followed, “We are thrilled to again partner with Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation for their Trinity Under The Stars fundraiser, which will raise much-needed funds to help the homeless.
“Sadly, homelessness is again on the rise. The charity Shelter estimates that 657 people were homeless in Wakefield on any given night in 2022, including 264 children.
“Please join us at the sleepout or support us in any way you can.”
Further to our partnership with Helping the Homeless Wakefield, we will also be working with Wakefield Street Kitchen, Local Vocals Choir, Amber Falls and XBM Ltd, with the evening consisting of food, music, guest speakers and quizzes, with the Foundation inviting members of the community to support in the fight against Homelessness.
The event will occur at the Be Well Support Stadium from Friday 24th to Saturday 25th November, with participants invited to arrive from 7pm onwards.
A sponsorship target of £100 has been set, with all funds going straight to the Foundation’s work in the community & Helping the Homeless Wakefield as they bid to help people get off the street.
The event will be for those aged 12+, with anyone under 18 being accompanied by an adult unless the Foundation receives written consent.
