Club 1873 is a fantastic process with all the money being fed back into the Club’s Youth and Development Programme which has helped to attract, nurture and retain a good number of academy products. We currently have 12 academy products in our First Team with Tom Johnstone, James Batchelor, Jordan Crowther, Max Jowitt, Jack Croft, Lee Kershaw, Yusuf Aydin, Connor Bailey, Harry Bowes, Dane Windrow, Sam Eseh, Pat O’Donovan, Lewis Murphy and Isaac Shaw all taking first team spots.
The development of these players would not be possible without funding from our Club 1873 Scheme which helps to improve training, education and facilities at the club. It also allows the club to sign these players on long-term contracts to prevent them moving on to other clubs.
