Wakefield Trinity is delighted to confirm that our second Winter Series fixture will take place on Saturday, 21st January 2023.
Following the success we had last Saturday at Sharlston, the club is delighted to be hosting a reverse fixture against Salford early next year, with both our under-15 & under-16 sides in action.
The game will be another opportunity for players from community clubs situated across the district to impress coaches at the club, with a place on the Wakefield Trinity scholarship programme up for grabs.
The game will take place at Salford City Roosters, with the U15 age group kicking off at 10am, while the second fixture will follow from 12pm.
Speaking upon the announcement, the Foundation’s Community Rugby League & Inclusion Officer, Charlie Doherty, said, “We are really pleased to be able to work with Salford and put on a reverse fixture in 2023.
“This is an excellent opportunity for players at both age groups to continue their development in the off-season and learn lessons from the previous meeting.
“It should make for another great day of Rugby League.”
Everyone who participated in the home fixture will be invited back, with new additions welcome. Please follow the email at the bottom of the page.
The club can confirm that training will take place on the 11th & 18th January at the Be Well Support Stadium. For more information on how to sign up, please email charlie.doherty@wakefieldtrinity.com.
