Walker “Ready To Rip In” At Trinity!

New recruit Alex Walker has said he is ready to rip into pre-season training as we prepare for Super League 2020!

Walker is the latest new signing to join Chris Chester’s squad, having signed on a two-year deal from London Broncos.

And the full-back has explained that he is looking forward to a big pre-season at his new club.

“I’m excited to meet all the lads and get into the thick of things during pre-season,” said the 24-year-old.

“2020 is a big year for myself and the club and I’m ready to rip in and show what I can do. It’s definitely a challenge that I’m looking forward to.”

Although Walker’s signing was only confirmed at the weekend, the fullback had agreed to join Trinity prior to the crucial final game of 2019 against London Broncos. And the Scotland International admits it was a “difficult situation” to be in.

“It was a really difficult situation to be in but I just went about my business as usual and did my best for the team.

“The experience of last season in Super League was great for us. We were all disappointed with the way things ended but everybody at London can hold their heads high.

“I’m now relishing a different challenge at Wakefield. They’ve been a top Super League team for a while now and despite things not going their way at times in 2019, I believe the squad is more than capable of breaking into the play-off’s in 2020.

“The style of play particularly pleases me and I’m looking forward to being part of that and linking up with the the quality players across the park.”
