With the recent announcement of a new Wakefield Trinity Girls u16s team forming, we are seeking an inspirational and talented Head Coach to take responsibility for planning and delivering the coaching of the u16s girls squad.
Candidates should be qualified to UKCC Level 2 or above, have previous experience in coaching and development of youth players and preferably understand the female game. The successful applicant will join a growing and ambitious community focused club.
You will be responsible for inspiring and developing our girls u16s Rugby League players to fulfil their highest potential; and be an instrumental part in the progression of the team & female rugby league.
Working closely with the Wakefield Trinity Ladies Head Coach you will also have an committed drive to ensure that all u16s girls have the best opportunity and aspirations to progress into the Wakefield Trinity Ladies squad, through our long-term strategy and development pathways for female rugby league.

We pride ourselves on being a successful, friendly & competitive team with players aged from 16yrs to adult, with a variety of abilities from new players, to seasoned internationals.
Our aim is to provide the best opportunity for all female rugby league players within Wakefield and surrounding areas to fulfil their own potential.
The Ladies team trains at Wakefield Trinity RLFC’s Ambassador Club; Sharlston Rovers each Monday & Wednesday evenings and the Girls u16s team will train side by side with the Wakefield Trinity Ladies on the same evenings.
Wakefield Trinity Ladies has a strong support network and committee that work closely alongside Sharlston Rovers & Wakefield Trinity RLFC that have fostered a strong relationship between all three parties.
U16s Head Coach Role:
o You will be an effective planner, administrator and communicator, able to build and maintain good relationships with all players, volunteers, leagues, NGB & Wakefield Trinity RLFC
o Plan and maintain long-term and medium-term development strategies and report regularly to the Committee & Wakefield Trinity RLFC’s Community Development Manager
o Plan & deliver player focused coaching sessions. Motivate and encourage players at ALL levels in order to achieve their full potential, with a key directive to long-term player development
o Manage and review expectations with individual players
o Attend monthly meetings with Wakefield Trinity RLFC and report on progress & development of the team
o Maintain up-to-date registers and other records and documentation as required
o Provide positive leadership and maintain integrity for Wakefield Trinity Ladies & Wakefield Trinity RLFC club at all times
o Conduct trials for new players for the team
o Build a strong, supportive coaching and management team for the Wakefield Trinity Girls u16s
o Keep under review own professional development
o This is a Voluntary position
