Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to confirm the success of our Inclusion Round against Warrington Wolves.
Following the resurgence of our emerging teams over the last couple of years, we are pleased to be able to stage games for our Ladies, Men’s and LDSL sides as well as our up-and-coming Rugby League Girls programmes.
Starting the day at 11:45am, Wakefield Trinity Ladies kicked off the first game of the day as they welcomed Oulton Raidettes to the Be Well Support Stadium.
A las, it wasn’t Trinity’s day as the away side reigned victorious, however, nothing should be taken away from their team spirit, continuing their efforts, whilst playing for each other week-in week-out.
Continuing the Ladies’ theme, we were pleased to follow the Ladies’ game with both our Girls Development Academy & Rugbees both pre-match & half-time, respectively.
This was a great time to celebrate all their achievements over the last few months, working tirelessly to improve their skills on a Monday night from the Be Well Support Stadium.
With an average of 40 participants across both programmes, the Girls’ game has taken on a life of its own, both at Wakefield Trinity & Community Clubs across the district.
Moving onto our Disability RL set-up, to celebrate all of their incredible work over the last year, it was an absolute pleasure to have our PDRL, LDSL & Wheelchair RL sides in attendance at yesterday’s game.
As they made their way around the pitch at half-time, all of our sides were serenaded by the Trinity faithful, applauding the teams for all of their efforts, joined by some of our PDRL World Cup winners with the trophy in hand.
A day of celebrations ended with an incredible festival. Warrington Wolves & Sheffield Eagles joined Trinity’s Learning Disability Super League side on the pitch to close down an incredible afternoon of Inclusion action.
The Foundation would like to thank everyone who made yesterday possible. Your continued support is much appreciated.
