Wakefield Trinity is delighted to announce our Community Family Fun Day, taking place at the DIY Kitchens stadium on Monday 25th August from 11am to 3pm – and everyone is invited!
Designed as a vibrant celebration of creativity, family fun, and community spirit, the free event brings together inflatable art sculpture by Jason Wilsher-Mills, dance performances and workshops by Dance Explosion, live music, and for the first time, a dedicated outdoor community market showcasing the very best of local talent and traders.
In partnership with artist Jason Wilsher-Mills and Wakefield Council, the event will feature three of his larger-than-life inflatable artworks, including the Scarborough Crab and Rhubarb Totem, alongside free artist-led workshops and a unique performance by Dance Explosion in wearable sculptures commissioned for Jason and the Wakefield Experience.
Visitors can enjoy:
Face painting & glitter tattoos
Free activities and games for kids
A vibrant community market with local crafts, gifts and treats
Meet & greets with Trinity’s much-loved mascot, Daddy Cool
Delicious food, drinks and sweet treats available to purchase
Craig Barrass, CEO at Wakefield Trinity, shared:
“This is more than just a fun day out – it’s a celebration of Wakefield’s creativity, diversity, and community energy. We’re proud to open our stadium doors to families, fans and new faces alike, and create a joyful space to connect, play and be inspired.”
Whether you’re a loyal Trinity supporter, an art lover, or simply looking for an exciting (and affordable) day out with the kids this summer – this is not to be missed”
