Wakefield Trinity is inviting passionate and committed individuals to join our team of volunteer community coaches and help shape the next generation of players.
Our Emerging Player Pathway (EPP) has been running successfully since July 2024, engaging over 1,500 young people (male and female) aged 12-18. The programme focuses on developing well-rounded athletes through a combination of:
- Core skill development
- Small-sided games
- Position-specific coaching
- Game understanding and scenario-based sessions
In addition to weekly sessions, we provide both internal and external playing opportunities. This summer, we are excited to host a “War of the Roses” style festival in collaboration with Wigan Warriors.
Commitment & Schedule
Sessions run year-round, with a flexible monthly commitment starting from as little as 2 hours. Most sessions take place on Saturday mornings and during Wakefield district school holidays.
Why Get Involved?
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to begin or develop a career in youth performance coaching. As part of the programme, you will receive:
- Ongoing CPD support in session planning and delivery
- Guidance on working effectively with young athletes
- Opportunities to observe scholarship, academy, and reserves sessions
- Integration into the Wakefield Trinity coaching community
A club kit package will also be provided after 20 hours of commitment.
