Wakefield Trinity can confirm that Jake Trueman has re-signed with the club on a new four-year deal!
The talented half back has impressed throughout the 2026 season so far with Daryl Powell calling for him to be included in England’s Rugby League World Cup Squad.
Trueman’s brand new deal means he will remain at the DIY Kitchens Stadium until the end of the 2030 season.
The 27-year old joined Trinity ahead of their return to Super League in 2025 reuniting with Daryl Powell. He has made 27 appearances in the Red, White and Blue since his debut appearing in every game so far in 2026.
Trueman now joins Caleb Hamlin-Uele and exciting youngsters Harvey Smith and Jayden Myers in being contracted to Trinity until the end of the 2030 season giving Wakefield a talented core to build upon.
The former Bradford youngster burst onto the scene in his first career start in Super League with Castleford Tigers, scoring a hat-trick at the Brick Community Stadium against Wigan Warriors back in 2017. He went on to play over 100 times for the Tigers before he moved to Hull FC for the 2023 season.
Jake Trueman said: “I’m really happy to secure my future at Wakefield, I’ve loved my time here so far and once the club came to me about extending it was an easy decision. I love the boys and all the coaching staff. I feel like the club is a great place to be now, with Matt leading the club forward and the energy from the fans and the city I’m confident it’s only going to get better.”
