Trinity Scholarship player Isaac Shaw has been selected to represent his country in the upcoming test series in July against France.
Isaac, Emley Moor junior player, has been on the scholarship since he was 14 years old and is looking forward to the upcoming series.
“It’s a huge honour to be selected for your country,” said Shaw.
“I will give it everything I’ve got; my next goal is to do enough to get in to the test team by training hard and playing well for my club and scholarship. I know there’s a lot of hard work to be done but it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to”
Head of Youth Mark Applegarth was delighted the youngster is getting a chance to represent his country.
“I’m delighted for Isaac as it’s the ultimate honour to represent your country in something you love doing, I’ve no doubt he will give it his all and do himself proud. I’m also delighted for Rich Smith (Scholarship Head Coach) & the rest of the team and Isaac’s coaches at Emely, who have all invested a lot of time into helping him develop”
You can catch the test series later this month with the second test vs France been hosted here at Belle Vue on Saturday 20th July with a 2pm kick off.
