Wakefield Trinity will travel to The Shay to face Halifax Panthers on Sunday 16th January.
The friendly has been arranged for Scott Grix’s testimonial.
Grix, who has recently retired from playing with Halifax to take up an Assistant Coach role, was awarded a testimonial year by the RFL for his services and dedication to the sport over the years, and will bring the curtain down on a fundraising year with a special match against one of his former clubs, Wakefield Trinity.
The game will take place at The Shay Stadium on Sunday 16th January with a 3pm kick off and Trinity fans can purchase tickets for the game by heading to https://www.tickettailor.com/events/halifaxpanthersrlfc/620479. Please note ticket prices increase by £5 on gameday.
With friendlies already locked in against Leeds and Featherstone, the clash against Fax will be another opportunity to watch the 2022 squad as they prepare for the new Betfred Super League season. Fax’s team could include former Trinity men Joe Arundel, Kyle Wood, Adam Tangata and Titus Gwaze.
