Wakefield Trinity can announce the signing of Liam Kay from Toronto Wolfpack!
Kay will join Trinity initially on a loan deal until the end of the season, but has also signed a two-year deal at the club for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
The 28-year-old featured for Trinity between 2012-2013 and rejoins the club after spells at Leigh Centurions and Toronto Wolfpack.
The winger is known to be a prolific try-scorer and has an astonishing 147 tries to his name in just 156 first grade appearances!
Speaking on his move back to the club, Kay said:
“I’m over the moon to be joining Wakefield, the place where I got handed my Super League debut.
“I think the club itself has developed in leaps and bounds since the last time I was there so I’m really looking forward to getting back and getting stuck in.”
Trinity Head Coach, Chris Chester, is pleased to have sealed the signing of Kay until the end of 2022.
“I’m delighted we’ve got Liam at the club,” admitted Chester.
“You only have to look at his prolific record to realise he knows where the try-line is and I think he’ll really push the likes of Tom Johnstone, Ben Jones-Bishop and Lee Kershaw in his position.
“He’s been at the club before, so he obviously knows what we’re about at Wakefield and I’m sure he’s looking forward to starting training with the boys next week.”
