Two more youngsters offered the opportunity to make the step up to Super League.
Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce the signings of half-back Christian Akroyd (19) and forward Lewis Wray (19) on one-year contracts.
The pair pictured with U19 Head Coach Mick Hill are the latest recruits to be offered the opportunity to make the step up from our U19 Academy and shows the commitment to giving youngsters the opportunity to showcase their talents by Chris Chester and Michael Carter.
U19s coach Mick Hill said, “I am delighted two more lads have been offered the chance to forge a career in Super League with Wakefield, Christian is an up and coming half back who excites everybody with his potential and we are really proud of Lewis and how far he has come in such a short period of time.”
Head Coach Chris Chester said, “It is great to be able to secure two further academy stars, both Christian and Lewis have both worked extremely hard throughout the year in training and games. Due to their consistent performances and dedication we have rewarded them with their first professional contracts.”
