Wakefield Trinity will be hosting an Open Training session ahead of Mark Applegarth’s Super League inauguration as head coach as we kick off our season against Catalans.
With time ticking down to the new season, the Club & Foundation continue to set their sights on the future, captivating fans with an open session the day before the season opener. The session will allow supporters inside access into the running of the squad’s final team run before a new year gets going.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to watch as stars like Mason Lino, Kevin Proctor and Renouf Atoni take to the field one final time followed by a meet and greet, with autographs and photos being encouraged.
Trinity, under new leadership, look to kick on following a positive pre-season so far, picking up victories against Leeds Rhinos, Halifax Panthers and Featherstone Rovers in their first three outings of the year.
The open training session will take place on Thursday 16th February at the Be Well Support Stadium, with all welcome at the ground from 9:30am. Complimentary refreshments will be provided, while merchandise will be available from the temporary club shop situated in the car park.
Speaking on the day planned, Head of Foundation, Mark Brennan, said, “This is a unique opportunity to come and watch as the squad gear up for another season.
“Everyone at the club is excited about what 2023 will bring, and we would like to make that bond between the players and fans even stronger over the course of the year. It should be a great morning.”
There is no need to book, please just turn up and you will be admitted into the stadium. However, if you require more information, please email mark.brennan@wakefieldtrinity.com.
