Trinity Partner with Campsmount Academy

Wakefield Trinity are pleased to announce a partnership with Campsmount Academy.

“We just want to play Rugby League” was the message from Mr Mankin of Campsmount Academy, the Doncaster based school that sits just outside the Wakefield District near Pontefract.

Since the initial exchange of emails Campsmount Academy have been subject to Teacher CPD and a commitment of Rugby League delivery in curriculum alongside their extra-curricular activity.

Recently, they were awarded England Rugby League Player Development School accreditation and will be engaging in festivals involving other schools such as Armthorpe Academy, Hungerhill School and Balby Carr Community Academy over the coming months.

“When the opportunity to partner with a school that really want to play Rugby League came up we couldn’t refuse. This is just the beginning of our relationship and they have our full support. We’ve now assisted them in their quest to become an accredited school and will encourage their young players, of both genders, to give Rugby League a try” – Craig Shepherd, General Manager, Wakefield Trinity Community Trust.

Mr Mankin, PE Teacher, Campsmount Academy said, “It’s fantastic to be involved in the England Talent Pathway programme and we are looking forward to working closely with them to develop top class Rugby players.”
