TJs Travel joins Foundation as Key Partner

May 30, 2025

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation are delighted to announce TJs Travel as one of our new Key Partners.

TJs Travels are a Wakefield-based and family-run minibus and coach hire company that have been operating a number of contracts across the Wakefield District since 2013.

With a fleet of 45 vehicles, including minibuses, coaches and team coaches, TJs Travel covers a variety of work, such as private hires, school trips and corporate transfers.

As a proud local business, TJs Travel is a loyal supporter of community sport within our area, building up a vast sponsorship portfolio and supporting grassroots football and rugby teams from juniors to open age.

TJs Travel are supporting the Foundation as Primary Training Wear sponsors for our Aspire programme and as Travel Partners for our Learning Disability (LDSL) and Physical Disability (PDRL) teams.

The Aspire programme offers male and female players in School Years 10 to 11 identified as having long-term potential an alternative avenue into the professional game.

Aspire players are provided with opportunities through weekly training sessions, playing opportunities against professional and international opposition and other matchday experiences.

In addition to supporting Aspire, TJs Travel will also assist in providing bus travel for our LDSL and PDRL teams during the 2025 season.

Our Inclusion teams provide incredible playing opportunities for players with both learning and physical disabilities, allowing them to represent Wakefield Trinity in a range of Festivals across the country and further highlighting the inclusive nature of rugby league.

TJs Travel Managing Director and Transport Manager Jamie Ndlovu said: “Here at TJs Travel, we have consistently supported grassroots sport and have always looked to give something back to our local community through funding towards equipment and travel.

“The Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation’s Aspire programme provides a brilliant avenue for youngsters to play rugby league in a top-class environment and gives them some valuable skills that are applicable to both sport and other further prospective careers.

“We are also proud to support the travel for the Physical Disability and Learning Disability teams, with our range of vehicles ensuring an improved travel experience to the sides’ Festivals this year.”

Wakefield Trinity Head of Foundation Luke Shale said: “I’d like to give a massive welcome to TJs Travel for joining the Foundation as one of our Key Partners.

“The support from TJs Travel will be massively beneficial in continuing our Aspire which makes up a key chain in the Wakefield Trinity Player Performance Pathway, providing more opportunities to more players for longer.

“In addition, the provision of travel for our LDSL and PDRL teams will greatly support our Inclusion teams in their trips to numerous Festivals this season as they continue to represent the Wakefield Trinity badge with distinction.”
