Three Ladies players selected for England Students Women’s squad!

February 7, 2020

Three Wakefield Trinity players have been selected in the England Students Women’s squad ahead of the 2020 season.

Current club Woman of Steel, Aallisha Rhodes, who plays at centre and studies at Wakefield College is joined by half-backs

Saskia Lewis (Leeds Beckett University) and Becky Grady (University of Leeds) in the 24player squad.

Women and Girls Rugby lead James Stephenson said: “Saskia has developed massively in past three years, moving from wing to half, and Aallisha hit the ground running last year and that showed in the recognition she received at our end of season awards.”

“Becky is a new recruit to the club, and we’re looking forward to seeing what she can bring to the team, and to Super League in 2020.”

“We’re all proud to see their hard work has paid off with international recognition, and hope that shows others what to do to achieve the same here at Wakefield.”

Wakefield Trinity Ladies kick-off their second season in the Betfred Women’s Super League away at Featherstone Rovers on March 29th before hosting York City Knights at the Mobile Rocket Stadium on April 19th.
