Three Wakefield Trinity players head out on one-week loans to Championship sides.
Kian McGann and Myles Lawford will head to Halifax Panthers on one-week loans as the West Yorkshire side prepare to host North Wales Crusaders at The Shay.
Lawford spent the beginning part of the season with the Panthers before financial trouble saw the club postpone two games. He has rejoined them on a week by week basis with Halifax restarting their season. The halfback has played four times so far in 2026 for the Championship team, scoring two tries.
McGann joined Wakefield in the off-season from St Helens and has impressed during the Reserves season so far. The move to Halifax gives the youngster a chance to gain valuable First Team experience.
Ellis Lingard will suit up for Dewsbury Rams in their game against Workington in Cumbria after joining the side on a one-week loan. The forward is another that is in need of game time with no Reserve fixture this weekend. Lingard agreed a new contract last year that will keep him at Wakefield until 2029 with Daryl Powell seeing him as a future star for Trinity.
