Wakefield Trinity was saddened to learn of the passing of club legend Geoff Oakes. A proud member of the Trinity sides that lifted the Challenge Cup in 1960 and 1962, Geoff’s place in the club’s history is assured. Even after his playing days, he remained a valued part of the Wakefield Trinity family, regularly supporting Community Foundation events and maintaining the friendships he made through the club.
Geoff will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew him and by generations of Trinity supporters. We invite fans, friends and former teammates to share their memories and tributes below.
