The 1895 Cup game between Wakefield Trinity and Newcastle Thunder will now take place at Featherstone Rovers home ground, Millennium Stadium on Sunday 18th February (KO: 3pm)
The switch has come around after Newcastle’s Kingston Park home became unavailable due to Newcastle United Women drawing a home tie in the semi-final of the FA National League Cup on the same day.
Being the League 1 side, Newcastle will be retaining the ticket revenue for the game as set out in the expansion of the 1895 Cup competition at the start of the year which means anyone who buys a ticket will be supporting the continued development of Rugby League in the North East.
The venue was selected due to how close it was to Wakefield in a hope it encourages as many fans as possible to travel to the game and support their team. With it being in a hot bed of Rugby League, both sides are hoping that neutral fans from around the area will also come along to enjoy what is sure to be a fantastic game.
Tickets for the game are available online here and in the Trinity club store in the Ridings Shopping Centre or call on 01924 211611 (Option 1)!
Adults – £15
Juniors (Under 16s) – £5
This game is NOT covered by your 2024 Season Ticket.
