Wakefield Trinity will be looking to build on their outstanding performance against Bradford as we host Leigh Miners at the Be Well Support Stadium on Sunday.
Ourselves
Following a much-needed reaction against Bradford, Wakefield will go into their game against Leigh full of confidence.
A 26-0 defeat to the Bulls didn’t tell the whole story, with Wakefield carving out chances throughout the game. Amy Bennett made a huge break in the second half, coming close to putting Trinity in the lead with a superb run, whilst Alisha Nix came close in the opening 20.
Abbie Millward’s 40/20 set Trinity on the right path in the second half, however, we were unable to make the breakthrough as Bradford took their chances.
Wakefield will be looking for revenge when Leigh visit on Sunday as the away side took victory in the first game of the BWSL season back in May.
Leigh Miners Ladies RL
Following a critical victory over second in the table Featherstone just a matter of weeks ago, Leigh Miners fell to winless side Castleford Tigers last weekend.
Following a close affair at the Jungle, which saw the scores tied at 8-8 going into the final 20 minutes, the Tigers prevailed as they cemented their first victory of the season through Tally Bryer.
The Miners have had a positive start to life in the BWSL 2, though, taking three wins back to Twist Lane this season.
