Wakefield Trinity Ladies will be hoping to maintain their 100% winning record over Castleford Tigers as we head to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Sunday.
Ourselves
After a spirited performance against Bradford, Trinity fell to Leigh Miners on Sunday at the Be Well Support Stadium.
Cassy Lawson scored Trinity’s only try of the contest, drawing us level following a powering run from an Abbie Millward pass.
However, Wakefield will take some optimism knowing that we have already beaten the Tigers twice this season, starting our competitive campaign in style before taking a close 8-4 victory at Belle Vue.
With just two games of the season remaining, we will be looking to end 2022 on a high by defeating Castleford on their own turf.
Castleford Tigers Women
A critical victory over Leigh Miners last time out secured Castleford’s first win of the season, drawing them level on points with Trinity going into the final stages of the season.
Tally Bryer and Grace Dyke were on the scoresheet in that one as they put to bed their heavy home defeat to Barrow a week earlier.
With confidence growing in the Castleford camp, Wakefield will have to be on top form to beat our neighbours on Sunday.
