Loyal Trinity fan makes kind gesture

Wakefield Trinity fan, Lewis Samardzija, has made a brilliant gesture by kindly purchasing and donating a 2021 season ticket to a worthy fan.

Lewis has been a keen Trinity fan for a number years, and although he hasn’t been able to attend fixtures as of late due to living in Australia, he has continued to support the Club in any way he can.

“I’ve been a big Wakefield Trinity fan for most of my life. I’ve not been able to watch them over the last couple years due to being away, but I wanted to keep giving back to the club,” said Lewis.

“With the current global situation and other circumstances, I wanted to buy a season ticket and also help out a fan who’d been loyal to the club! It was the least I could do.”

Lewis was happy for the Club to select a worthy recipient for the 2021 season ticket and as such, ‘Super Fan’ Stephen Cramm has been rewarded for his loyalty and support over the years.

CEO, Michael Carter, has paid tribute to Lewis for his kind gesture, whilst also explaining why Stephen has been chosen.

“Once again this is a shining example of all things good about Wakefield Trinity and its family supporter base.

“Lewis’ gesture is magnificent, wanting to support the Club from so far away and Stephen is a worthy recipient of such generosity, given his longstanding support of the Club. These are the moments that give you that warm feeling, realising there are still good deeds in this world.”

Stephen Cramm commented: “I would like to thank Lewis Samardzija from Australia so much for his tremendous kindness and fantastic gesture by offering his season ticket for the 2021 Super League season to me. Coming from a fellow Wakefield Trinity supporter, and especially in these difficult times, is something I will never ever forget.

“This shows the true spirit and it is obvious that Lewis has a heart of gold. Big wraps Lewis and keep supporting Trinity!”
