Ladies RL have Dalby on board for 2022

Wakefield Trinity Ladies RL is delighted to confirm the signing of fullback Lara Dalby from Halifax for the start of the 2022 campaign.

The youngster becomes Wakefield’s sixth new signing in as many days as she follows Nataliina Romano, Jade Key, Cassy Lawson, Leonie Lawson and Hebe Forbes through the door at the Be Well Support Stadium.

After starting her career at Oulton, she made her name progressing through the amateur ranks, first playing for their under-14 side before making the step up to under-16 level.

After completing her time at Oulton, Dalby made the switch to West Yorkshire, signing for Halifax in the Championship before making her Wakefield and Super League debut against Featherstone at the back end of last season.

Speaking upon making her signing permanent in the offseason, Dalby is excited about the future ahead.

“I am really pleased to have signed for Wakefield and I am looking forward to seeing what this season brings.

“When I made my Super League debut with Wakefield, it just made me want more and I want to see how far I can take my rugby career.”

You can see Lara in action when we make the trip to Castleford in Round One of the Betfred Challenge Cup on 13th March.
