Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce the new signing of George King from Super League side Warrington Wolves on a two year deal.
The Irish international who was born in Huddersfield has spent the last four seasons at Warrington Wolves making 97 appearances and scoring seven tries after making his debut in 2014 against Bradford Bulls. He also had loan spells at North Wales Crusaders and Rochdale Hornets during the past four years.
The 23 -year old will link up with the First Team squad when they return for pre season training in November.
King spoke of his delight saying, “I am really excited, Chris Chester came to speak to me during the season and sold me the vision for the Club and the direction of where Wakefield is going. I am really looking forward to it and being able to meet the rest of the lads in pre season.”
Head Coach Chris Chester said, “George will add some real toughness to what already is a big pack. He will bring plenty of energy to the group and I am really pleased that he has chosen to sign for Wakefield for the next couple of seasons. I look forward to working with him and seeing what he can bring to the side.”
