Jowitt extends contract until end of 2023

Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce that Max Jowitt has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023 season.

Jowitt, who is sponsored by Beat Autism, made his Trinity debut in 2014 and has gone on to make 81 appearances for the club, scoring 24 tries.

The fullback was given the number one jersey ahead of the 2021 campaign which was a reward for his impressive performances last season, and has played an influential part in our recent run of good form.

Speaking on his new deal, Jowitt said: “I’m really happy to be staying at this club and with this team for the next few years.

“Being a Wakefield lad and supporting them home and away when I was younger made it an easy decision for me, to be honest.

“I’m just really enjoying my rugby at the minute and love being a part of this club so I’m excited to see what the next few years can bring.”

Head Coach Chris Chester added: “I’m delighted that Max Jowitt will remain at the club for the next few years.

“Max is a real talent and has been in great form for us this season. He knows this club inside out and it’s a perfect fit for both parties.”
