Job Title: Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Contract: 6 month Fixed Term (Part-time)

Location: Be Well Support Stadium, Wakefield, WF15EY

We are looking for a strength and conditioning coach to join our team at Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Club and assist in the delivery of the strength and conditioning programme to the senior squad, reserve squad and academy squad. The successful candidate will report directly into the Head of Strength and Conditioning and will also be required to work collaboratively with the coaching, medical and nutrition departments.

This role is ideal for a recent strength and conditioning graduate or somebody looking to supplement their further strength and conditioning studies with a role in professional sport.

This role will include working early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Leading academy and reserve squad field and gym strength and conditioning provision.

· Assist in the running of senior squad, reserve squad and academy squad matchday strength and conditioning provision.

· Assist in the running of the senior squad strength and conditioning field and gym provision.

· Provide an evidence based approach to all training prescription.

· Maintain strength and conditioning databases with relevant training loads.

· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

· General upkeep of equipment and environment.

· Full compliance with Club and RFL standards.

Essential requirements:

· BSc in Sports Science/Strength & Conditioning.

· Minimum one year’s experience working/volunteering in a professional sporting environment.

· A full UK driving license.

Desirable requirements:

· MSc in Sports Science/Strength & Conditioning.

· A recognised accreditation (UKSCA, NSCA, etc) or the ability to complete one within 6 months.

· Prior experience of working/volunteering at a rugby league club.

· Prior experience of using Catapult GPS software.

· Prior experience of data entry and reporting.
