We would like to wish former Wakefield Trinity player Neil Fox MBE a happy birthday as he turns 78 today.
A special congratulation also goes out to Neil and the rest of his family as they celebrate the birth of his first great grandchild.
The former Great Britain international started his career in 1956 as he made his rugby league debut playing for Wakefield Trinity at just 16 years old.
Fox had a highly successful career which included honours such as being a three time Wembley Challenge Cup winner and a Lance Todd Trophy winner.
He also holds the record for most points in a Wembley final, as well as setting the all-time points record of 6,220 points during his career.
His fantastic 23-year career was recognised with an induction into the Rugby League Hall of Fame in 1989. Neil was made a member of the Order of the British Empire for his services to rugby league, and in 2010 he was also awarded the Freedom of the City of Wakefield.
Happy Birthday, Neil.
