Wakefield Trinity PDRL opened their 2023 account with two hard-fought victories as they look to reclaim their place at the top of the tree.

Game one saw the side come up against a competitive Warrington side, guided by globally-renowned comedian, Adam Hills. Despite being one of the most challenging sides in the competition, Trinity held firm in their first outing of the season, blowing off the cobwebs with an 18-6 victory, with Michael Brown, John Humphries & Callum Parkinson all getting on the scoresheet.

Game two saw the side face a much bigger task, facing off against the old foe as the 2022 PDRL Grand Final winner came up against last year’s League Leaders. Following a tough test in the final game of last season’s competition, Trinity came out of the blocks well & continued their excellent start, taking a well-deserved 18-0 victory at Robins Park, starting the season as they mean to go on.
