The Foundation’s partnership with Future Group (UK) Ltd will provide vital support for our incredible PDRL team, who completed a remarkable Grand Final and League Leaders’ Shield double in 2024 and reached another Grand Final earlier this year.
Several members of our PDRL squad have represented Wakefield Trinity with distinction this year while featuring for both Yorkshire and England.
Future Group (UK) Ltd will support our PDRL side with the provision of training and playing kit for the 2026 season alongside other required team equipment. In addition, our new Principal Partner will assist with the running and logistical costs of the team, such as facilities hire and travel.
Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation Social and Inclusion Lead, Jack Pemberton, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Future Group (UK) Ltd on board as the new Principal Partner of our PDRL team and we’re privileged to have the support of another esteemed local business for the Foundation.
“Our PDRL team have established themselves as one of the best in the country over the past few years and have had great success on the field.
“We want to continue to improve the team and the future from Future Group (UK) Ltd will only further benefit that cause.
“I think there’s a real buzz around what we’re doing across our three Inclusion teams at the moment. As a registered charity, the Foundation is incredibly grateful to be able to put into place these partnerships to help fund our programmes and Inclusion teams.”
Future Group (UK) Ltd Managing Director, Gary Wilcock, said: “We’re honoured to join as Principal Partners of Wakefield Trinity PDRL ahead of the 2026 season.
“Myself and my wife Sarah have been Trinity supporters for many years, so we’re delighted to get involved with the Foundation, helping ourselves get further ahead in business as well as building a close relationship with Wakefield Trinity and the Foundation.
“The Inclusion offer at Wakefield Trinity has grown and grown over several years, so to be able to support that area of the Foundation will hopefully allow it to evolve further in the future.”
