Four Changes For Swinton Lions Game

Wakefield Trinity have named their squad to take on Swinton Lions at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Sunday 19th May (KO: 3pm).

Daryl Powell’s side are coming off the back of booking their spot in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final at Wembley following their 40-14 win over Bradford Bulls.

Focus switches back to the Betfred Championship season this week with Swinton visiting Trinity’s home and looking to break Wakefield’s undefeated start to the league season.

Powell has made four changes to the squad that was named to take on Bradford last week.

Injuries to Luke Gale and Mason Lino leave Trinity without their first choice halfbacks while a failed HIA for Josh Griffin will see him on the sidelines for a few weeks with Powell stating he will return for the 1895 Cup Final.

Noah Booth is the final person to drop out of last weeks squad.

Trinity fans will be delighted to see the return of Toby Boothroyd and Luke Bain to the 21-man squad. Boothroyd has been on the sidelines since injuring his shoulder against Hunslet in the Challenge Cup while Bain is in line to make his first team debut following his return from an Achilles injury in the reserves a few weeks ago.

French duo Mathieu Cozza and Romain Franco also return to the Trinity squad.

Tickets for the game are still available both online here and in the club store.

Fans can enjoy two games for the price of one with the Trinity reserve side taking on Hull KR reserves from 12:15pm in a curtain raiser.
