Physical Disability Rugby League

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation are proud to boast one of the most successful Physical Disability Rugby League teams in the country.

Our PDRL side won the Grand Final and League Leaders’ Shield double in 2024 and came close to retaining their crown in 2025, suffering a narrow defeat to Leeds Rhinos in the code’s Finals Day. In addition, a number of Wakefield stars have featured for both England and Yorkshire in representative matches at the sport’s highest level.

PDRL is a version of rugby league adapted for participants with a physical disability, providing incredible opportunities to people in our local community to compete in our game and enjoy the wider social benefits of team sport.

Wakefield Trinity PDRL are open to new players to joining the team ahead of the 2026 season as they continue to grow their squad and provide opportunities for players with physical impairments.

Wakefield Trinity PDRL train at Stanley Rodillians RUFC (WF3 4EF) on Monday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
