Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce that we have opened registration for our Rugby League Summer Series programme for 2023.
Following huge amounts of success across last Summer, Autumn & Winter programmes, the Foundation is offering the chance for Under-15s & Under-16s currently playing at a community level to make their way through the programme, with the opportunity to be scouted into the Club’s Scholarship system.
Over the years, many of the current Scholarship set-ups boast players who have come through the Summer Series pathway, with the likes of Max Sheard and Ellis Lingard playing an integral role in the 2023 season. Other graduates such as Alex Golightly, James Surtees and Jack Jones also went on to represent their country at England Community Lions level last month.
Training for the programme will take place from Wednesday, 12th July 2023, starting from the Be Well Support Stadium before being moved over to another venue for the weeks thereafter.
The Foundation has already set up three fixtures before the end of the Summer, taking on Huddersfield Giants and Salford in July/August. Details for the fixtures can be found below:
Game 1: vs Huddersfield Giants (Monday 24th July) (A)
Game 2: vs Salford (Wednesday 2nd August) (H)
Game 3: vs Salford (Saturday 5th August) (A)
The Foundation would also like to thank our sponsors for their ongoing support, Cantidad Limited, Home Instead Wakefield The Yorkshire Broker, Bags 4 Everything, Trinity Walk & RZ-Clean.
