Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce the Trinity 50K Challenge as we continue to support our Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion programmes.
We are asking members of the Wakefield community to run, walk, cycle or swim 50 kilometres throughout July, which can be completed in your own, chosen timeframe across the month. Those taking part will be asked to either donate or raise a minimum of £20 to raise funds for the Foundation’s ongoing programmes.
Once completed, those taking part will be asked to send evidence, a screenshot of their progress in July, to will.moore@wakefieldtrinity.com to receive a limited edition Trinity 50K Challenge medal! If possible, there is also an opportunity to link your Strava or Fitbit to Just Giving to make it easier to track your progress.
Sign-up is now available for those who wish to take part, inviting participants to start raising funds before they start their physical activity journey. More information & a link to sign up can be found below.
Speaking on the introduction of the new initiative, the Foundation’s Media & Commercial Executive, William Moore, said, “I am delighted to bring the inaugural Trinity 50K Challenge to the Wakefield community.
“This is a great opportunity for those who wish to take part to look after their physical/mental wellbeing whilst raising the all-important funds to help the Foundation support those who need it most.
“I am looking forward to seeing my emails flooded with screenshots of Strava, Fitbit or Apple Health apps over the course of July!”
