Wakefield Trinity have secured the massive coup of former Leeds Rhinos captain, Cameron Smith.
The 27-year old has agreed a four-year deal until the end of the 2030 season with Trinity and will join the club at the start of the 2027.
With over 160 appearances for the Rhinos, Smith will provide valuable experience to a rather young core at Wakefield. Having played most of his career at Loose Forward, he will work alongside Samoan International Jazz Tevaga while also being able to play in the front and back row.
The Pontefract born loose forward made his debut in the amber and blue at the age of 17 against Huddersfield Giants in 2016. He was made captain in the 2024 season at the age of 25.

However, until the end of the season, my full focus remains on giving everything I have for Leeds and finishing my time here the right way.”
