Wakefield Trinity Ladies are delighted to confirm that Beth Cain has completed her promotion to the first team following a successful stint with the academy.
Following its monumental return earlier this year, the Wakefield Trinity Ladies’ under-19s academy has had a huge impact on women and girls’ Rugby League in Wakefield, with Beth, amongst others, prospering from developing in the lower age groups.
Having been around Rugby all her life, Beth has played the sport since a young age, turning out for Methley Warriors for the most part of her career.
Since then, she has made huge strides, starting with the academy to develop her skills, which will, hopefully, stand her in good stead as she continues with the club.
“I am extremely pleased, due to the fact that I love the club and all the girls are amazing and super friendly.
“When I first started playing, I found a real passion in Rugby and set a goal to do the best I possibly could.
“My time in the academy has been incredible and I have learnt many new things as well as making lifelong friends. It has been perfect to help me develop and pursue my ultimate goal of reaching the Ladies’ side.”
Developing skill is one thing, but you can’t develop ambition. Working hard to reach the next step shows a willingness to learn and improve as an all-around player, something Beth has in abundance.
“I like to think that I am hardworking, eager and hope to bring dedication to the team,” she followed.
“I see myself developing more as a player and becoming more confident within myself, which will, hopefully, suit my future goals to continue in the Ladies’ team and to play to the best of my ability.”
Everyone at the club would like to offer Beth a warm welcome and look forward to seeing her progress over the coming months.
