Wakefield Trinity is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced Ben Cooper as Head of Strength and Conditioning.
Ben, 44 from Crofton started his rugby development at Stanley Rangers and progressed to professional level playing for Sheffield Eagles, Huddersfield Giants and Leigh Centurions.
He has a wealth of experience and brings a players insight into the science of fitness and nutrition.
He started in his first senior role at Super League level with Hull FC.
Ben then spent 6 years at Castleford as Head of Strength and Conditioning from 2013 to 2018 working with Coach Daryl Powell and captain Michael Shenton with the highlight being helping the club win the League Leadership Trophy and reach the Grand Final in 2017.
He joins the club from Hull Kingston Rovers after a successful 4 year stint at the helm of their conditioning department.
Ben’s vast experience equips him with an invaluable blend of practical know-how and technical expertise. His understanding of the sport’s physical demands will translate into bespoke conditioning programmes tailored to individual players’ needs. Wakefield Trinity looks forward to the edge that Ben Cooper will bring to our preparations, ensuring our players are in top form to meet the challenges of the Championship head-on.
