Wakefield Trinity are pleased to announce that attendances are on the up as we surpass our home game half way mark.
Compared to the same games in 2018, this season has seen an increase of 5.5%, with nearly 2000 more people coming through the gates over the 7 games.
In 2018 we saw 33661 come through the gates, while in 2019 we’ve seen 35555 supporters enter The Mobile Rocket Stadium over the same 7 games.
Our Marketing Manager, Adam Sweeney, said
“It’s fantastic to see our attendances are on the up and we’re seeing more new fans in the stands. I think it’s common knowledge that we need to be bringing in an average gate of 6300 every week to allow us to spend the cap and, while we’re happy with the small increase in the attendances, we’re not where we want to be yet.”
He also added:
“Last week alone saw an increase of nearly 1000 people on the 2018 attendance, which is brilliant. We still have some big games to come with Leeds (twice) and Castleford both soon to visit the Mobile Rocket Stadium and we will be expecting some big crowds for all 3 games. The players are doing their bit on the field and everyone at the club is working hard to ensure we’re attracting more and more people. It’s a step in the right direction for us.”
Our Commercial Manager, Verity Thomas, is happy to see that our hospitality experience is thriving and commented
“Our hospitality restaurant and boxes are now completely sold out for our two upcoming fixtures against Leeds and also when we take on Castleford in July. With our restaurant capacity now being up to 170 guests and boxes accommodating 250, our hospitality block has a fantastic game day atmosphere!
Boxes are also sold out for our Huddersfield fixture in June but we have a small amount of seats remaining in the restaurant.
We still have availability in hospitality for Hull FC, Wigan and London later in the year so book your place to avoid disappointment!”
