Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation are delighted to announce a new partnership with ASUS, joining the Foundation as principal partners of our Boys and Girls Emerging Player Pathway (EPP) programmes for the 2025/26 season!
The Foundation’s EPP programme launched ahead of the 2024/25 season, providing high-quality, open-access Rugby League training and playing opportunities to young players across the Wakefield District as well as providing a pathway through to Wakefield Trinity Youth teams.
Last season, we welcomed almost 800 Boys players from School Years 7 to 13 alongside more than 150 Girls players from Schools Years 9 to 11.
Both our Boys and Girls EPP offers have been extended for 2025/26, with more Boys delivery this season and opportunities for Girls in School Years 7 and 8 for the first time.
Thanks to our new partnership with ASUS, as part of a significant four-figure deal, the Foundation’s EPP programme will have vital financial support to cover equipment and venue running costs.
The partnership continues the long-running association between Wakefield Trinity and ASUS, who are a world-leading multi-national technology company, known for designing and manufacturing a wide range of high-quality computer hardware and consumer electronics.
ASUS are the front-of-shirt sponsor for the Wakefield Trinity Warm-Up shirts while their logo is proudly displayed between the coaching staff seating at the DIY Kitchens Stadium. The ASUS logo also took front-of-shirt placing for June’s memorable victory over Wigan Warriors as part of their Ultimate Matchday Sponsorship package.
ASUS Commercial Business Director, Chris Whiteman, said: “I am proud that ASUS can continue our support of Wakefield Trinity and the incredible work of the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation as principal partners of the Boys and Girls EPP programmes.
“ASUS have had a long-standing relationship with Wakefield Trinity and I’m really excited to be able to grow and expand our support with the Community Foundation.
“EPP provides amazing opportunities to young players in our region to progress their Rugby League journeys and makes a real impact in our local community.”
Wakefield Trinity Head of Foundation, Luke Shale, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome ASUS as our new principal partner for the Boys and Girls EPP and I’d like to thank Chris and his team for their valuable support.
“The support of ASUS will allow us to continue to provide playing opportunities for hundreds of Boys and Girls players across the Wakefield District and beyond, developing both young players and community coaches.
“We welcomed a remarkable number of players to our EPP sessions during its launch season in 2024/25 and we are looking forward to seeing the programme continue to go from strength to strength as it expands its delivery for the forthcoming 2025/26 season.”
